The famous origami paper folding technique is not only a way to keep a child busy with crafts, but also a real art for adults. With the help of paper sheets, without glue, scissors and extra costs, you can decorate the interior in an original way and arrange a festive table. You can make a paper swan using the modular origami technique - from many components.

It is necessary

  • - a pack of A4 size coated paper;
  • - ruler;
  • - scissors;
  • - red gouache;
  • - brush;
  • - glue for paper and cardboard;
  • - cardboard backing.

Instructions

Step 1

To make swans, first, stock up on a pack of A4 thick coated origami paper. Your task is to make triangular modules for composing a paper sculpture. Each element will have two valves, with which it will be attached to a multi-tiered figure.

Step 2

Divide the long side of the cut paper sheets into 8 equal parts, and the short side into 4. Along the lines obtained, cut rectangular pieces 37 × 53 mm in size. Paint one of them with red gouache - this is the future beak of the bird.

Step 3

You will need 1 red triangle module and 458 white ones. Perform the origami components one pattern at a time, in this order. First, bend a rectangular sheet in half along the median longitudinal line, then make a transverse fold and unbend the workpiece again; the center of the figure will be indicated.

Step 4

Bend the opposite edges of the strip to the middle: you get a "slide" -triangle with two stripes down. Turn the shape over so that the stripes are on the seamy side, and the triangular top of the "mountain" is on the front.

Step 5

Raise the left and right corners up, but so that there is a small free space between them and the triangular top. Fold the bottom of the workpiece upwards (neat cross fold). Before you is a component of the future paper sculpture.

Step 6

Add the required number of triangular models and start assembling the swan. First, make the body of the bird. To do this, attach the adjacent walls of two origami elements to one another and fasten the adjacent corners with the valve of the third module.

Step 7

Continue attaching modules to each other by placing them in a circle. If you did everything correctly, then short sides ("legs") of paper links will be installed on the inner side of the formed embossed ring, and long sides on the front side.

Step 8

Build on the layers of the sculpture's foot by stringing the flaps of the next modules in a checkerboard pattern on the edges of the triangles of the previous row. Each ring must contain 30 components.

Step 9

Give the origami swan a lush, amphitheater-like shape. To do this, you need to grab the edges of the ring and make a movement, as if you want to turn the figure topsy-turvy. A sculpture made of paper triangles will rise from these manipulations.

Step 10

Lay out another circular row of modules, carefully holding the flaps together. After that, on the seventh row of paper triangles, start collecting the bird's wings. On the side on which the neck will be located, select 2 corners of the adjacent triangles. Lay out 12 modules on the right and left sides of the intended place.

Step 11

Spread out the wings of the sculpture, building rows of white triangles one above the other. In this case, for each row, 2 components should be taken less. In the eighteenth row, the details will end with a pair of modules - these are the ends of the raised wings. Carefully shape them so that they curl slightly at the top.

Step 12

Build a swan tail from modules. First, reinforce 5 links between the wings, then reduce the number of elements. This will create a triangular shape with one module at the top. A total of 15 blanks will be left on the tail.

Step 13

Make the bird's neck by nesting paper figures inside one another. The chain will start with a red beak. Fold the chain into a question mark and secure the neck to the sculpture by inserting the flaps of the last module at two corners between the swan's wings.

Step 14

Finally, lay out the finished paper swan stand. It can be made from two circles of modules inserted into each other. For better fixation, you can glue the snow-white bird to this ring.
