Have you ever thought about what you can crochet to surprise your loved ones and friends? How about the idea for a swan lake? If you are a little familiar with crocheting, you can try knitting a swan or several swans.
It is necessary
Yarn for knitting "Iris" or "Lily", hook number 2, scissors, cotton wool, a small piece of wire to bend the swan's neck
Instructions
Step 1
Start knitting with the swan wings. Two wings are knitted according to the same pattern. Cast on 18 stitches. Next, one lifting loop and the first row knit with single crochet columns. Knit the second and third row without tying 2 columns. And so on, every two rows, remove two single crochets. As a result, there should be 9 rows. Tie two of these wings.
Step 2
Next, knit the body of the swan. Cast on 42 stitches. Knit the first row with single crochets. After that, knit one air loop for lifting, and in the second row, do not tie 2 single crochets. Next, leave 2 stitches untied every 2 rows, so that you end up with 10 rows. Then knit 3 lifting air loops and plus two more loops (5 in total). Skip one single crochet of the previous row and knit a double crochet into the second column. Then make 2 stitches and a double crochet. Repeat this rapport to the end of the row.
Step 3
To tie the neck, cast on 17 chain stitches plus one lifting loop. Knit in four rows with single crochet. Attach the thread and attach the orange thread to the side.
Knit the 1st row like this: 4 single crochet.
2nd row - 2 single crochets, skipping one column of the previous row. From the side, sew the edges of the knit with a blind stitch and insert the wire to the size of the swan's neck.
Step 4
All details are ready. It remains only to collect the swan. To do this, fold the body of the swan in half and sew in the same way as the neck with a blind stitch. Pre-fill the torso with cotton wool. Sew the wings carefully to the sides of the swan. To keep the neck straight and not topple to one side, you can stick the end of the wire (the skeleton of the neck) into a piece of styrofoam. And put the foam in the body of the swan. Then carefully and firmly sew the neck into the body. now your swan is ready.
