A beautiful bow will decorate a girl's hairstyle and gift wrapping, blouse and ball gown. The assortment of tapes in stores is quite large. They are made from different materials, and there is always an opportunity to choose the right one for a given case. There are also a great variety of ways of tying bows, so you can always create something unique.
It is necessary
- - tape;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
Even the simplest bow can look very beautiful if tied neatly. The tape should be soft enough. Practice on something before tying a bow in your hair. For example, on a pencil. Fold the tape in half. Insert a pencil between the ends so that it touches the fold. Tie the ends of the ribbon in a single knot.
Step 2
Fold the ends of the tape in half. Tie another single knot. This is most conveniently done by placing your index fingers along the fold lines, in much the same way as you inserted a pencil in the previous step. Straighten the bow. Such a bow can even be tied from a short ribbon. Tying it on your head, imagine that instead of a bun of hair, you are holding the same pencil you were experimenting with.
Step 3
If you have a long ribbon, you can tie a more difficult bow. The first step is exactly the same - you need to tie the ribbon on the bun of hair with a single knot. Then bend the ends of the tape, but not in half, as in the previous case, but closer to the knot, about 1/4 of the length. Tie a single knot. Then bend the loose ends again, this time in the middle, and make another knot. You have a double bow.
Step 4
Even a single bow will look very impressive if you twist the edges of the ribbons. To do this, leave the long ends. You can twist them with the most ordinary curling iron. If you have nylon or other synthetic tapes, make sure that the temperature is not too high, otherwise all your work may go down the drain.
Step 5
It is best to make a terry bow out of thin synthetic tape. They can be used to decorate the packaging. The tape should be long enough. You will need some more thin ribbon, preferably the same color. Wind the tape around your arm, making a dozen turns. Flatten the resulting roll so that no creases are formed. Cut the corners along the folds.
Step 6
Align the corners. Tie the bow at this point with another ribbon. The knot should be strong so that the bow does not come loose. Spread the "wings" of the bow so that they are evenly spaced.
