They say that you cannot erase words from a song, but in fact it is possible to remove words from an audio recording. There are several programs that will make it easy to convert a song into a backing track.
Instructions
Step 1
You can make a minus out of a song using the Audacity music editor. If you do not have this program, then download and install it on your computer. Start the editor and click the "File" tab, in the window that appears, select the desired audio recording and click "Open".
Step 2
Once opened, the music editor will transform the audio recording into a spectrum of peaks. Then in the track control menu, click the "Divide" command, thus the track is divided into two channels - right and left. To have the same sound in both tracks, select “Mono” mode for each channel in turn.
Step 3
When the audio recording is divided into two channels (upper music, lower voice), select the lower channel, click on the "Effects" - "Invert" tab. In the main menu of the program, click the "Play" button and listen to the resulting minus. If the result suits you, then select the track and through the "File" menu, choosing the desired format, save the backing track on your computer.
Step 4
You can also convert a song into a backing track using the SoundForge program. Download the program, install it on your computer and run it. Transfer the audio recording to the editor, in the control menu, click on the "Processing" - "Equalizer" - "Graphic" tab. In the equalizer window that opens, you need to select the 20 Band display mode, since this mode has the maximum number (20) of sound change levers.
Step 5
Now you need to remove from the audio recording the voice that falls in the middle of the equalizer (lever 7 - 16). Lever 11, located in the middle of the equalizer, must be lowered to the very bottom, and levers from 10 to 7 should be aligned in ascending order to lever 6, and the same should be done with levers 12 to 16, smoothly lining them up to lever 17.
Step 6
When the EQ levers are in the correct order, press the Preview button, this way you will cut out the frequencies of the voice and automatically listen to the resulting composition. If you are satisfied with the quality of the backing track, then click on the "File" control menu and save the track in the desired format on your computer.
