Step 1
There are two ways to apply photographs to mugs, but in any case, the dishes should be made exclusively of ceramics. One of the most durable images on a glass is sublimation printing. Prepare a lace heat press and dye sublimation ink printer. The dishes on which you will apply the image must be smooth and uniform. Generally, white glasses are best suited for this purpose.
Step 2
Select a drawing (photo) on the computer that you are going to put on the gift mug and print it. Once the photo is ready, load the image into the heat press. When it "rolls back" on the circle, carefully look at how clear the drawing is, whether there are any white spots on it, etc. Usually, if the heat press is new (or well-oiled), a fairly clear, bright and very stable image is obtained. At the same time, it is almost not felt to the touch.
Step 3
Try another way. You will need a decal to apply a photo to a mug. This method is based on the principle of decals, which were sold back in the USSR. Then they were soaked in water and applied to a hard surface. You have to do the same now. Pour clean water into a small container, then lower the decal there for 3-5 minutes.
Step 4
After the specified time, remove it from the water and place it on the mug so that there are no irregularities. Try to press the image to the glass as tightly as possible (while it should not move). Make sure that all parts of the picture are printed.
Step 5
Then put the decal mug in the oven for 10 minutes. The image applied in this way will hold very tightly. Its only drawback is that the sticker will be felt.
