Experienced fishermen know that making a strong knot from a fishing line is not immediately possible and not for everyone. You need to make some effort and practice a little in order to learn how to knot from slippery fishing line. Fishing knots on fishing have to be done quite often: either you need to tie the load to the cord, then connect the torn cord, etc. How annoying it can be when a large and long-awaited fish breaks off the hook due to a fragile knot.
Instructions
Step 1
Start with a blind simple loop. Bend the line, fold it in half and tie it in a regular knot at the end. An improved option is to bend the double-folded line, wrap once around both ends, loop and tighten. In this way, you can tie the leashes in the bottom system.
Step 2
Now practice making a nautical loop. Fold the line, twist it into a small loop where you pass the free end of the line. Now wrap it over the other taut end and pass it through the same loop again. Pull this end into a knot while holding the free end with your other hand.
Step 3
Sophisticated nautical loop: tie a knot on the line, but do not tighten it. Pass the free end through it until a loop of the desired size is formed. Now put the end over the knot and braid.
Step 4
You can attach a hook without an eyelet to synthetic fishing line using a marine knot. For this knot, wrap the line around the hook three times and thread the free end through the loop created by pulling the root of the line.
Step 5
If you need to tie an anchor to the line, use the knot called the "cross". Measure from the end of the line 2m and tie a simple knot without stretching. Step back half a meter, tie the second knot, overlapping it with the first. Separate the connected sides, while the loops will stretch. Now put the weight in the middle of the cross, and pass the end of the rope through all the loops and, together with the main rope, tie one of the sea knots.
Step 6
When fishing, it is often necessary to tie two lines together. In such a situation, use the Blood knot: cross the two lines so that there are 15cm free ends. Then pinch the crosshair between your thumb and forefinger.
Step 7
With the right riser end, make 4-5 turns around the main line. Now pass the right end through the crosshair. Continuing to hold the right half of the knot between your fingers, wrap the other free end of the line 4-5 times with your other hand around the main line. Pull the left end through the crosshair and through the resulting loop.
Now, gently pull both ends at the same time, and moisten the knot with water before final tightening to prevent line breaks. After securing the knot, cut off the excess ends as close to the knot as possible.
