If you know how to knit and decide to make a really beautiful and spectacular thing, you should learn how to do it with colored threads. It is best to knit according to the pattern, so the probability of error will be minimal, but there are other ways with which you can make colored patterns or drawings on the canvas.

Step 1
If you have a knitting pattern in which the colors of the threads are indicated in order, start knitting the part from below with the threads of the main color. When you get to the place where the drawing begins, tie a thread of the desired color to the background thread and knit the required number of colored loops, the background thread should be from the inside out. After finishing the colored section, swap the threads, leaving the colored one from the inside, and knit with the main color.
Step 2
Continue knitting this way, leaving a colored ball inside out. So that it does not unwind and interfere, put it in a plastic bag or pin it with a pin. This is especially important if there are several colored balls, in their loose form they will quickly get confused, and all your time will be spent on winding the balls.
Step 3
Please note that if the color pattern is large enough and the thread of the base color is stretched for a long distance, it may interfere and cling to when worn. In this case, after every 5-6 loops, twist the threads together to hook the stretched thread. Be careful not to pull the threads tight, otherwise the pattern may become deformed.
Step 4
If there are several elements of the pattern of the same color, and they are located at a short distance, it is not necessary to break the thread, just stretch it between the patterns, catching on the background thread.
Step 5
If you can't master this technique yet, knit strips. First knit several rows with a thread of one color, then knit with a thread of a different color. With the correct selection of shades, you will get an excellent stylish thing, but keep in mind that the threads should be of the same density and composition.
Step 6
Simple stripes can be complicated to create so-called "lazy" patterns. Work two rows in the same color, then start knitting the next two rows, but pull some stitches from the previous ones. If you don't have a diagram, try different options and find the most interesting one for yourself.
