Knitting things with threads of different colors is an incredibly interesting activity, but it requires certain skills and abilities from the needlewoman. If you are a beginner knitter, then start multi-color knitting only after you confidently knit all types of loops evenly and accurately.

Instructions
Step 1
The simplest thing is to knit horizontal stripes from different balls. Choose the most successful color combination of yarn (it can be either contrasting colors or shades of the same color scale).
Step 2
Knit several rows with your base color. Moving on to knitting with yarn of a different shade, do not remove the edge loop, but knit with a thread of a second color. Tie a few rows with this yarn and change the color again. You should have a broach on the left side of the knitted fabric.
Step 3
Do not pull on the thread, make sure that the fabric is not pulled together. Also, try not to allow the thread to be too loose and not sag, otherwise, when changing colors, holes may turn out.
Step 4
To tie vertical stripes, twist the threads when passing colors. The movement of the brush should be towards you. With this method of knitting, there will be no broaches on the seamy side, so the fabric is looser. Large ornamental motifs are knitted in a similar way.
Step 5
Knit a jacquard pattern from two or three balls of different colors. Always keep a pattern in front of you and systematically check your knitting against it. Knit several stitches in the same color, then take the second color yarn and join to the seamy side.
Step 6
After knitting several loops in a second color, cross the threads on the wrong side as follows. Both threads should rest on the index finger of your left hand. The working thread (the one that you are knitting at the moment) should be located closer to knitting, and the non-working thread a little further.
Step 7
When changing colors, move the non-working thread closer to you, it becomes working. Make sure that the yarn on the broaches is not taut or hanging.
