The multicolor knitted patterns are very varied. It can be a combination of stripes or a cage with crocheted vertical lines. You can also knit intricate ornaments with knitting needles. In this case, there should be no knots or unnecessary loops. In order to make a multi-colored drawing beautiful and elastic, there are several techniques.
It is necessary
- - threads of several colors;
- - started product;
- - knitting needles by thread thickness;
- - patterns of patterns.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are just learning to knit, start with a combination of stripes. The transitions from color to color in this case are exactly the same as when knitting a Norwegian ornament or imitation of embroidery, but they are done at the beginning of the row. For convenience, label the thread colors, for example, with numbers. Let the main color be # 1, and the additional ones further in order. Tie the product to the beginning of the first strip. Attach a different color of thread. At the beginning of the drawing, you can simply tie it so that the knot is on the wrong side. Do not break the thread of the base color. Do not remove the edge loop at the transition point, but knit with a thread of color No. 2. Knit a strip. Finish the last row in the same place where it began. Pull thread # 1 along the edge, wind it with one or two turns around thread # 2 and knit the next strip with it. Tie the edge one too.
Step 2
A checkered pattern is most conveniently done by lifting the loops of a different color with a crochet or needle. Tie a few strips first. Close the hinges. Mark the beginning of knitting in equal lengths. Attach the thread from the second ball to one of the marks. If you are going to do this with a needle, then unwind the thread about 2 times longer than the height of the product. Insert it into the needle and sew the vertical stripes with a buttonhole seam, following the contours of the knitting loops exactly. You can crochet the same.
Step 3
For knitting an ornament or imitation of embroidery, choose a suitable pattern. For a start, it is better to take the one where small fields are tied with each thread. Tie to the beginning of the drawing. Attach the thread from the wrong side, circle it around the thread of the base color so that they catch on each other, and knit according to the pattern. In the same way, go to the third color thread. When it becomes necessary to move to the main color again, pull the desired thread along the wrong side of the work, circle it around the thread of the pattern and continue knitting. It is necessary to cross the threads so that the pattern does not shrink.
Step 4
To knit a large pattern with large colored fields, use a different method. For example, in this case, you need to knit a two-color pattern not from two balls, but from three. Divide the ball of the base color in two. Tie to the beginning of the pattern, hook the threads in the same way as in the previous method. Knit the required number of loops with a thread of a different color, but when going back to the main tone, do not pull the thread along the seamy side, but attach the thread from the second ball. Turn the work over, knit with this thread to the edge of the pattern and hook the threads together on the wrong side. Work a row of the pattern, then move to the base thread from the first ball. To avoid tangling the threads, place each ball in a separate small basket or baby bucket.
