An efficient work and learning process cannot be imagined without a comfortable and functional writing desk. If you do not have the opportunity to purchase a desk in a furniture store, do not despair - the design of an ordinary desk is very simple, and even a novice craftsman who has never dealt with the creation of complex pieces of furniture can handle it. The table model usually consists of only four parts - these are two side walls, a back wall and a lid.
It is necessary
- - laminated chipboard;
- - jigsaw;
- - screws;
- - self-tapping screws;
- - decorative plugs.
Instructions
Step 1
To assemble the table, purchase laminated chipboard. Cut the chipboard sheets in accordance with the dimensions of the details of the future table, and then carefully saw out the parts with a jigsaw or a hacksaw on wood. For the table top, cut out a rectangle 1300x600 mm, for the back wall of the table, cut out a rectangle 1170x450 mm in size, and also cut out two end strips 740x450 mm.
Step 2
If you do not have equipment for sawing chipboard, order this service for an additional fee at the store where you purchase the materials. Use furniture screws with plugs to fasten the parts together.
Step 3
Drill holes for screws in the end walls of the table, and then drill recesses for self-tapping screws on the end part of the back wall of the table. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver or Allen key. Then drill holes for the second screw on each side and tighten the screws as well.
Step 4
In this way, attach both side pieces to the back of the table. Now move on to attaching the table top, the edges of which protrude beyond the perimeter of the back wall and sides. As a rule, this protrusion is 5 cm. Accordingly, drill holes for screws at a distance of 5 cm from the edge of the tabletop on the inside.
Step 5
Cover the screw heads from the outside of the table with decorative plugs.
