She entered the vocal department in 1956 and graduated in 1960. The girl managed to continue her education at the Tbilisi Conservatory, where she learned the art of singing under the guidance of the talented teacher V. A. Davydova. During her studies, she performed on the stage of the conservatory in productions that were carried out by the university's opera studio. The debut performance was a great success, Makvala Kasrashvili performed in the operatic role of the main character in the work of the famous K. V. Glitch "Orpheus and Eurydice".

Career and work

Fate was supportive of the career of a young singer. It was auditioned at the Bolshoi Theater of the Soviet Union. A Georgian girl with a romantic lyric-dramatic soprano was immediately accepted into the group of trainees at the country's main opera stage.

Already in the winter of 1966, the young performer performed on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. Her first works - Michaela in the opera "Carmen" by Georges Bizet and the supporting part of the opera "The Queen of Spades" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Makvala Kasrashvili not only toured with the Bolshoi Theater troupe across countries and continents, but was also often invited as a star on solo tours and performances in the best theaters in the world. She was enthusiastically listened to at London Covent Garden, New York Metropolitan Opera, at numerous European festivals.
