When caskets are bursting with a large amount of various jewelry, it becomes difficult to find the right piece of jewelry. The situation can be improved by making a special holder. The mannequin will allow you to hang up jewelry so that everything you need is at hand.
Plastic mannequin for storing jewelry
It will be convenient to hang earrings and bracelets on such a mannequin. At a craft store, purchase a piece of wood to attach your mannequin to. It consists of a round stable base and a long shaft.
Cut four pieces from the wire so that by bending each of them in half, you get the desired size of the hook on which the jewelry will be hung.
Place a small bead over the wire, center it, and twist the two free metal ends into a stick. Thus, make all four blanks.
Use foil to outline a female figure without a head and arms on the shaft of a wooden mannequin blank. Wrap and crumple the foil to create the desired relief. Then take a self-hardening polymer clay and cover the entire shape, strengthening and completing the shapes.
Instead of plastic, you can use papier-mâché. Make a homogeneous mass with your hands by mixing cheap toilet paper with PVA glue. Cover the foil mannequin with it.
Insert the twisted wire sticks into the mannequin. Two pieces will be in place of hands, and two hooks are inserted into the neck. Then remove the wire and let the craft dry completely at room temperature.
When the mannequin is dry, smooth the surface with sandpaper. The places that will be visible from under the clothes should be especially neat and smooth. Tint the surface with acrylic paint and then coat with acrylic varnish.
It is convenient to grind small parts with a nail file or sandpaper on a sponge.
Make clothes for the mannequin. Glue the fabric according to the shape with a glue gun. Try to join different pieces as if they were the seams of real clothes. For decor, use braid, sequins, chains. To close the base of the stand, you can put a magnificent guipure or tulle jewelry along the bottom of the dress.
Pour glue into the holes in the mannequin and attach the wire sticks to them. When the glue is dry, bend the wire so that the jewelry does not fall off.
If you don't know how to sculpt, make a figure for a mannequin out of a Barbie doll. Remove the head and arms from the doll, put the legs together and wrap tightly with tape. For the stand, use a wide and deep deodorant or shaving foam lid. Place the doll's feet in it and fill it with alabaster. Then dress up the doll and glue the twisted wire into the holes for the hands and in the neck, forming hooks from it.
Bust for jewelry
It will be convenient to hang chains, necklaces and beads on such a holder. Draw or print a bust template. It can be either with a head or without it, only with a neck. Transfer the picture to thick plywood and cut it out with a jigsaw.
Sand all the edges and cover your work with acrylic paint. Glue a block on the back and screw a couple of hooks into it so that the bust can be fixed to the wall. The block will prevent your work from sticking tightly to the wall, and you will be able to hang the chains on the dummy.
