Soap carving is an opportunity to create beautiful, unusual things with your own hands that will become an interesting gift for friends and family. Before cutting out of soap, you need to acquire a certain set of tools, which are not so difficult to pick up.

Instructions
Step 1
Take a bar of soap. Any soap is suitable for cutting, as long as it is produced recently. Old soap may dry out and begin to crumble when cut. It is better to start by carving a simple bas-relief or a figurine from soap, after you master the technique of carving, you can take on more complex things.
Step 2
Draw the outline of the drawing on the soap, this is done with a pencil. You can come up with a drawing yourself or translate your favorite image into soap. If you are confident in yourself, you can start cutting without drawing a pattern, but it is much more convenient to do it along the contour.
Step 3
Define mentally in what order and at what height the layers of the future picture will be located. Each picture is cut out in layers, some details of the image appear on the upper layer, and those farthest from you will be located deeper, in the lower layers. You decide how high each layer will be, depending on how thick the bar of soap is and how many layers.
Step 4
Using a thin, sharp knife, cut off the entire top layer, leaving only what should be on it - namely, the outline of the cutout image. Now proceed to the second layer, you need to remove from it what should be below. Process each layer of the cutout image this way. The more complex your bas-relief, the more layers it has, but the more interesting it will look in the end.
Step 5
Take a soft cloth and gently smooth out the transitions between layers with it, you can use your own fingers for this.
