Step 2
For the purchase of material, it is better to go not to an ordinary sewing store, but to a specialized one. The fact is that most clothing stores of a wide profile sell fabrics for sewing clothes. Their width is on average 1.5 m. And you will need a cut 2-2.5 m wide.
Step 3
Choose a fabric that matches or contrasts with the wallpaper in color and texture (if that's your idea). Immediately match the threads and accessories to match the color. If you have a hooked cornice in your home, you can buy a looped tape. It can be easily sewn onto curtains.
Step 4
Having bought the fabric, start cutting, guided by the golden rule "measure seven times - cut once." It would seem, what could be easier than cutting out a rectangle? The problem is that with a single measurement, you can make a small inaccuracy, which will lead to a large skew. And you get not a rectangle, but a parallelogram. Therefore, before cutting, take control measurements in several areas.
Step 5
It is not necessary to make a pattern of curtains and bedspreads in full size. But for decorative elements of a small size, make patterns.
Step 6
Cut all curtains and bedspreads. Overlock the edges to prevent streaking.
Step 7
Sew ruffles, fringes, or other embellishments to the bedspread. Sew tape with loops to the curtains or make wide hinged loops (this depends on the model of your curtain rod).
Step 8
Iron the curtains and bedspread. Cut the threads. The curtains and bedspread are now ready for use.
