A corner sofa is not only a stylish piece of furniture, but also very functional. Such furniture creates coziness in the room, decorates it. But no matter how expensive the materials from which the upholstery of the sofa is, it still loses its former freshness and integrity over time. A bedspread will help keep your sofa looking good. Instead of buying a corner sofa bedspread from the store, use a few tips to sew it yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide what kind of bedspread you will sew - in two parts. monolithic, with or without elastic. It is quite difficult to sew a monolithic cover for such a large sofa, so it is best to sew separate cover-covers for each component of the sofa. To obtain a one-piece bedspread, you need to connect the two components at a 45-degree angle. Also, an excellent solution would be an elastic band stitched along the edge of the cover-cover, in this case they will not slip.
Step 2
Carefully measure the parts of the sofa that you want to hide, draw a pattern on graph paper (reduced in size). When making a pattern, do not forget about allowances of somewhere around 1, 5-2 cm.
Step 3
Cut the fabric of your choice according to the measurements on the pattern.
Step 4
Sew the connecting seam of the canvases, then make a neat hem and trim the edges of the bedspread, if desired, insert an elastic band. Iron the finished product thoroughly with steam.
Step 5
A bedspread on a corner sofa is a good idea, especially in cases where the sofa cannot be disassembled at night. If, nevertheless, you use the sofa as a permanent bed, perhaps in this case a blanket or fur skin will be the way out.
