Instructions

Step 1

First you need to collect all sorts of leftovers, rags, scraps of fabric. In advance, you need to arrange the pieces according to the texture, because it is best to use pieces of the same fabric texture in the bedspread.

Step 2

Then you need to make a pattern for future squares from cardboard or thick paper, so that it is more convenient to cut out fabric blanks.

Step 3

After the blanks (for example, squares) have been cut, their edges must be zigzag seamed. Then you need to sew the squares into strips, the number of squares in the strip depends on the future length of the bedspread. Then the seams need to be ironed.

Step 4

After that, we sew the strips with squares together in this way: you need to fold the front sides inward two strips along the long edge, then combine all the joints and corners. The strips can be swept for easy stitching.

Step 5

After stitching the strips, you need to cut off unnecessary corners around the entire perimeter. After that, you need to cut out the lower part of the bedspread of the same size from a dense plain fabric.

Step 6

Then you need to fold the parts of the cover with the front parts inward and sew them on three sides. Next, the coverlet is turned inside out and the remaining side is sewn up. It remains to steam the product - the cover is ready.
