If you decide to seriously engage in any kind of sport, then the first thing you will need to choose for yourself the right equipment. After all, equipment is what protects the athlete from damage and injury.
Instructions
Step 1
Each sport has its own equipment. For individual sports, it is practically not needed, but for team or contact types of equipment, much more is required. After all, when several players collide with each other, the risk of injury increases many times over.
Step 2
The hardest thing is to find equipment for a hockey player, because this sport is considered the most traumatic. Some people think that hockey can be played with only skates and a stick. But this opinion will change after the first collision with another player. To reliably protect yourself, you will need a helmet with protective glass or mesh, a bib, gloves, elbow pads, knee pads and special protective pants with plastic shields.
Step 3
In order to play football, you will need the following equipment: football boots (special shoes with shock-absorbing soles, hard toe and back), shin guards (put on the shin and protect it from impacts), gaiters (high socks, under which shin guards are worn) and knee pads.
Step 4
For team games such as basketball and volleyball, it is much easier to choose equipment, because contact between players in these sports is minimized. You only need sneakers, knee pads and elbow pads.
Step 5
For contact sports, such as boxing and martial arts, the equipment will be as follows: gloves, a protective bandage (wrapped around the palm so that gloves do not rub the skin), a helmet and mouth guard (silicone or plastic pad that protects the teeth). In some martial arts, where tough sparring is practiced (training fights between athletes), as close as possible to a real fight, you will also need to pick up a bib and groin protection.
