Forging is the processing of metal in a cold or hot way in order to give it an aesthetic appearance. Experts distinguish conventional, artistic, hand and mechanical forging.

Equipment and tools for cold metal forging
Gnutik is the main cold forging tool. Allows you to bend metal bars at the required angle, or create an arc of any radius. On it, you can make a lot of elements, or the whole product as a whole. A simplified gnut is a fairly simple device used to bend a square. Wave is a rig that allows you to give a product a beautiful wave-like shape. On it, you can achieve the ideal shape of the product - waves. A snail is a tool for twisting spirals from a metal bar. A twister is a tool with which a metal bar is wound around an axis. A flashlight is a kind of twister that allows you to interweave a metal profile with each other in a certain way. Volumetric - this equipment allows you to make "volumetric" patterns, bend them at a certain angle and form a square. Template - is used to bend a square or circle.
This is the basic set of tools and machine tools that are necessary for blacksmithing. Many of the tools are made by craftsmen themselves. A hand press is used as an additional equipment for cold forging for metal stamping. It is used to make triangles, or crow's feet. An additional profile is used for the manufacture of "volumetric" gratings. Today, new machines and devices for artistic forging appear on the forging market: profile bending machines, manual machines for cold bending of metal FVM-30 and bending machine FVM-120. All of them are designed for bending shaped pipes of various diameters.
Hot metal forging
Hot forging of metal is used for fine art work. In a heated state, the metal becomes more elastic and it is easier to perform blacksmith's manipulations with it, which give the metal a beautiful elastic shape in the manufacture of openwork gratings, furniture, forged interior items. The basic tools for hot forging are pliers, a sledgehammer and a set of hammers, which vary in weight and shape. In addition, various punches, chisels and crimps are used.
