Autumn wreath

For this craft, you will need, in addition to dry leaves and flowers, also long flexible branches that can be cut from bushes. Cut the base out of the foam. It can be in the form of a circle or a heart. Leave the edges and cut out the middle with a sharp knife so the wreath can be wrapped around.

If you don't have any styrofoam on hand, roll up a newspaper wreath base. Twist them into bundles and form the base you need. Wrap the top with either paper tape or thread so that the newspapers do not unfold.

You can make flowers yourself from autumn maple leaves. Take a small piece of paper, fold it in half and roll it up. This will be the middle of the rose. Attach the next maple leaf to the center of the bud, fold it outward in half and wrap the roll. Wrap with thread at the bottom. Attach the next sheet on the other side of the resulting bud.

In this way, form several roses from the maple leaves. Leave them to dry for a few days. Or you can immediately attach it fresh to the wreath, they will dry already on the craft.

Wrap the base for the wreath with long thin branches, securing them with thin wire. If this is difficult to do, then cut the branches into small pieces and glue them in a mess on the foam so that it does not show through much. Take a detached view of your work. At this stage, the branches and base can be painted from an aerosol can, or you can leave it in its natural form.

Glue rolled maple roses to the branches. Decorate with additional dry leaves to fill in the wreath space. Tie a ribbon. Now the craft can be hung on a door or wall.

Leaves and flowers applique

Beautiful applications of leaves and flowers can be made with children. Ask your child to lay out dry leaves and flowers on white sheets of paper. Think about what basis you will use to create the picture. You can take colored paper, cardboard, burlap. Prepare office glue or PVA glue.

Compose an application on the basis of dry plants. Leaves can be used as a whole or cut into different shapes from them. To do this, first make the layout on paper, then attach the cut template to the sheet, circle it with a felt-tip pen and cut it out.

When the composition on the base is the way you want to see it, carefully glue each leaf and dry flower in the space provided for it.

If you have a complex drawing, where flowers and leaves are on top of each other, first take a picture of the composition, and only then start gluing it. Then you will not get lost in the process.

Place the finished applique into the frame. It is advisable to use a frame with glass so that your work does not collect dust.
