The dark background of the flower arrangement in oil on paper perfectly emphasizes all the advantages of any bright bouquet. Without going into too much detail, you can depict most flowers with one or two colors. This will add symbolism to our picture.

Instructions

Step 1

Get started with flowers. Start with the orange rose on the right in the picture - outline the petals with light and dark orange pastels, write the stem with long, smooth strokes of olive green pastels. Use a long stroke of light green pastel to paint a highlight on the stem. Go to the green color scheme and paint the leaves of the rose with virid and green pastels, and the veins on the leaves with sticks of light green pastels.

Step 2

Start building color. Move on to two gerbera flowers that look like large yellow daisies and paint each petal with cadmium yellow. Color the core of one of the gerberas with dark orange pastels and carmine. Sketch the rosebuds above the gerbera with strokes of pink, then add some ocher and dark orange pastels on the petals, green pastels on the stems. Show the petals of the white rose with strokes of lemon yellow pastels. Draw the stem of one of the Achilles flowers with a flowing line of turquoise pastels.

Step 3

Write hydrangeas. Add another hydrangea flower to balance the composition. Write it in the same way as one of the flowers in step 2. Then "cast" some highlights using lemon yellow and dark green pastels. Paint the hydrangea leaves with the side of the stick with green and virid pastels. Refine the outline of the rose flower at the top of the composition with pink pastels.

Step 4

Draw a vase. Draw gerbera leaves using a yellow-green pastel stick. Use thin lines of yellow cadmium to mark the veins. Take blue-violet pastels and outline the outline of the vase. Turn the stick in your hand and start applying long vertical strokes to the vase with the side. Draw smooth lines with yellow-green and gray-green pastels, corresponding to the stems visible in the vase.

Step 5

Add color spots. Add bright highlights throughout the picture with white pastels, and deepen the shadows with dark green pastels and ultramarine. Place a few more bright yellow petals on top of the gerbera flower. Take a stick of white pastels and draw a white curtain on the right. Apply a few strokes of gray-green paint to the countertop with the side of a pastel stick.

Step 6

Write the background. Refine the background with blue-green pastels.
