The debut in a musical composition is a sentimental moment when a person for the first time feels himself a creator and co-creator of the universe. But, before you breathe a sigh of relief over the last point in the score, you will have to sweat a lot.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a form of music recording. In our case, this will be the musical notation in the Sibelius editor. It allows you not only to record musical text, but also to display the parts in graphic or midi format. So, after installing the program, open the editor, set the basic parameters of the future work: title, names of authors of music and lyrics, artist, instruments and voices, size, tempo and tonality.
Step 2
The first sheet of the score will appear in front of you. Write the intro topic on the line of the corresponding tool. You can break it down into several instruments, from bass guitar to piccolo flute. It is important that this topic interests the audience, but does not reveal all the cards. The intro theme can be repeated twice, in new instrumentation or with a slight change in melodic or harmony (chord).
Step 3
Add measures as needed by pressing the Alt-B keys. Enter the number of measures required in the corresponding field. Don't be afraid to add unnecessary ones: later you can delete them by pressing “Shift-Delete”.
Step 4
From the development of the intro theme or based on new material, create a main theme. Write it down in an instrument that stands out in terms of volume or pitch. Leave the backing voices to the instruments of a quieter voice.
Do not go against the nature of the instruments: do not write loud and sustained notes to wind instruments, especially in difficult parts of the ranges. For more information on each instrument, consult the books on instrumentation (Rimsky-Korsakov, Chulaki, etc.).
Step 5
Periodically listen to the resulting recording of notes by pressing the corresponding button on the player. Remove unnecessary measures in parts.
Step 6
To save notes in graphic or midi format, use the paths "Export" - "Graphics" or "Export" - "Midi".
