In May 2012, the final of the Eurovision Song Contest was held in the capital of Azerbaijan. 26 countries made it to the final, including Russia. However, our country had to give way to a representative from Sweden.
Loreen (the singer's full name is Lauren Zineb Noka Talhaoui) was born on October 16, 1983 in Stockholm. She began her musical career in 2004, taking part in the Idol 2004 music project, where Lorin took fourth place. In the future, she worked as a singer and as a TV presenter on one of the main channels. On March 10, 2012, the singer became the winner of the popular Swedish television competition Melodifestivalen, after which she received the right to represent her country at a competition in Europe.
According to the draw, Lorin performed in the second semi-final and took first place in it. And she confirmed her success in the final of the competition on May 26 on stage in Baku, performing the song Euphoria and gaining 372 points. Her performance was distinguished by its originality, non-banality. Plastic, dance staging - something new for Europe, a powerful beautiful voice. In addition, the singer is seriously into yoga, and also has a rather original appearance. All this developed into the fact that many were betting on it and considered the clear favorite of the competition. Although there were always "Buranovskie grandmothers" nearby, who were in no way inferior in originality to Lorin.
The suit for the suite was designed by the creative artist and renowned designer Martin Bergstrom. All dance movements Loreen invented together with the American dancer Ausben Jordan, who performed with her in Baku. And of course, she spoke very warmly about her competitors - "Buranovskiye grandmothers", saying that they will win because they are pure and immaculate, and this is how they bribe the viewer.
After winning the competition, all of Sweden literally carried the singer in her arms, who returned Eurovision to a country where he had not been for twelve years. Loreen is currently on a big tour in Europe.
