Wolfenstein 3d
Game developed by Id Software. It is considered the world's first full-fledged first-person shooter. In this game there is a revolutionary 3D graphics for that time. Nevertheless, Wolfenstein 3D laid the foundations for the first-person shooter genre, which can still be seen in many other projects today.
Step 2
The plot of the game takes place during the Second World War. The main character, Agent Blatskovich, is taken prisoner by the Nazis against his will. He wakes up in a fortress called Wolfenstein. The fortress is home to many enemies, traps are everywhere. Blackovich must get out of there and destroy the laboratory that produces the super soldier. The gameplay of the game is simple - the player needs to destroy all enemies at the current level and go to the next. At each level there may be caches containing bonuses (first aid kit or food). Sometimes players will come across strong bosses.

DOOM
An iconic first-person shooter developed and released in 1993 by the same corporation. This game is one of the first in the first-person shooter genre and has influenced the entire gaming industry. Here the player will take on the role of a soldier who was sent to Mars in a scientific laboratory. Suddenly, demons rush into the station and kill almost all of the inhabitants.

The hero managed to survive. His task is to destroy all monsters and close the portal that connects the earthly world with hell. The player needs to walk across locations and kill demons with firearms. DOOM is all about revolutionary gameplay. During the passage, the player will also have to solve puzzles and collect various bonuses. In addition, DOOM is one of the first multiplayer games.

Quake
An iconic first-person shooter game created by Id Software. In the story, a huge army called Quake wants to destroy all of humanity and take over the Earth. The player's goal is to destroy the entire enemy army and save the planet. One of the main features of this game is the latest 3D polygonal engine. With its help, the developers were able to create polygonal models, visual effects and much more. Quake is also considered one of the first multiplayer shooters.

From the very beginning, the game had a built-in network mode. In this mode, the user can fight other players in a large arena. Quake has made a huge technological breakthrough. It was this game that gave rise to many multiplayer games such as Team Fortress. The modified Quake engine formed the basis of the famous Half-Life game.
