Decorate the needle box with embroidery with ribbons - a beautiful poinsettia flower and your needles, pins will always be in a safe place.
It is necessary
- - blank for the box (diameter 12 cm);
- - fabric (canvas, gabardine, calico, velvet);
- - synthetic winterizer;
- - satin ribbons (red - 25 mm wide, green - 7 mm, yellow - 4 mm);
- - stamens;
- - green floss threads;
- - cardboard;
- - cord;
- - braid;
- - embroidery hoop;
- - a needle with a wide eye;
- - glue (hot glue gun)
Instructions
Step 1
Stretch the fabric (at least 16 cm in diameter) over the hoop and mark the future flower with a pencil or disappearing marker. Draw 3 circles with a diameter of 0.7 cm, 3.5 cm, 4 cm. Mark eight rays.
Step 2
Embroider eight flower petals with a red ribbon, stitching from the smallest to the middle circle with straight ribbon stitches.
Step 3
Then make 4 leaves with a green ribbon between the second petal of the flower with stitches from the smallest to the largest circle with a herringbone seam.
Step 4
In the remaining four gaps between the petals, embroider four spruce branches with a floss thread (half loop in the attachment).
Step 5
Draw the middle of the flower with a yellow ribbon with French knots with two coils.
Step 6
Place white pearlescent stamens between the knots by pulling the center of the stamen thread through the needle.
Step 7
Gather the finished embroidery on a strong thread with a needle forward stitch.
Step 8
Fill the blank with padding polyester from the seamy side and insert a cardboard circle. Pull off the thread, securing the edges of the work with stitches.
Step 9
Hot glue the embroidery to the cover. Cover the side of the cover with tape or a decorative cord, covering the line of the embroidery edge.
Step 10
The side of the bottom of the box can also be decorated with braid or lace.
