The flower brooch from the St. George ribbon looks very beautiful, such an accessory can complement any look. You can, of course, buy in the store a ready-made brooch made in the desired color scheme, but the cost of such jewelry, and especially before the Victory Day holiday, is greatly overestimated. Therefore, it is more rational to make a brooch yourself, spending a little free time on work.

It is necessary

  • - St. George Ribbon;
  • - glue gun;
  • - bead;
  • - ruler;
  • - scissors;
  • - pencil;
  • - the basis for the brooch;
  • - a candle or lighter.

Instructions

Step 1

Take the St. George ribbon, measure and cut off five pieces of six centimeters with a ruler (it is important to use pieces of ribbon of the same size for the craft, so that in the end the decoration turns out to be symmetrical). Singe the edges over the fire on each blank. Next, lay one piece in front of you, wrong side up, then take the top left corner and fold it down. The fold point is the middle of the tape.

Step 2

Fold the resulting workpiece in half, and so that the right singled cut of the tape exactly coincides with the lower burned cut of the workpiece.

Step 3

Fold the shape in half lengthwise. Bend the side free edges of the workpiece to the center fold. Fix the bottom edge of the "petal" with glue.

Step 4

Make the other four petals in the same way. At this stage, you can make a little more petals to create a lush flower, but the option with five petals is preferable, because the product in this case symbolizes a five-pointed star.

Step 5

Take a tape 20 centimeters long, bend it in half lengthwise, and then use sharp scissors to cut off its edges at an angle of 45 degrees (the cut should be carried out to the place of the fold, and not from it). Burn off the edges of the tape gently.

Step 6

Place the ribbon in front of you, fold its edges down so that they intersect. Fix with glue.

Step 7

Glue the brooch base to the wrong side of the ribbon. If there is no base, then you can use a regular pin, only it must be sewn on, and not glued.

Step 8

Place the tape face up in front of you. Glue the previously made "petals" to its central part so that you get a flower. Attach a bead (or a sequin, a large crystal, a beautiful button) to the central part of the flower.
