Step 1
Remove the edging. Knit the next loop according to the pattern, that is, knit the front one with the front one, and the wrong one with the wrong one. There are now two loops on the right spoke. Insert the end of the left knitting needle from left to right into the hem, pull it towards you and pull the hem loop into it with the right knitting needle. As a result, there are now not two loops on the right spoke, but one.
If the design of the product does not play a big role, fix the loops in another way. At the beginning of the row, knit the first two loops together with the front one for the back walls. Return the resulting loop to the left knitting needle. And again knit two loops of the front one for the back walls, then return the loop to the left knitting needle. Continue until the row ends.
The next loop is knit again according to the pattern. There are two loops on the right needle again. With the end of the left knitting needle, pull the first loop towards you, and pull the second loop into it. So fasten the loops until only one loop remains on the right knitting needle. Pull the last loop upwards by five to seven centimeters. Cut the extended loop, tighten the end of the thread.
Step 2
If the design of the product does not play a big role, you can fix the loops in another way. At the beginning of the row, knit the first two loops together with the front one for the back walls. Return the resulting loop to the left knitting needle. And again knit two loops of the front for the back walls, then return the loop to the left knitting needle. Continue until the row ends.
Step 3
There are times when it is necessary that the knitting edge remains with open loops, that is, not fastened. This is important, for example, when knitting a sweater, when the front and back shoulders need to be connected with a special knitted seam, due to which there will be no unnecessary thickening. Then finish the product using the auxiliary thread. Better for an auxiliary, take cotton thread.
Tie the last row, cut the thread. Put the auxiliary thread into operation. Knit four to five more rows. Do not close the hinges. Remove knitting from knitting needles. And iron the edge. After that, dissolve all the rows from the auxiliary thread. As a result, the edge of the product will have ironed-out loops that do not come loose.
