In modern stores, you can find almost any toy, from traditional construction toys to radio-controlled helicopters. But the value of hand-made toys cannot be compared with the factory ones.

Step 1
Prepare the necessary materials and tools. First of all, purchase wooden planks of different sizes from a hardware store. Also, make sure you have a saw, planer, hammer, small nails, sandpaper, and other necessary tools.

You can improvise, but it is best to pre-draw a sketch of the future toy. It should indicate the exact dimensions of the parts.

Think over the sequence of work and methods of fastening parts to each other.

The easiest way to make wooden toys is from rectangular planks. To do this, it is not necessary to cut out complex parts with a jigsaw. It is enough to cut off several planks of the required length and create a product from them. For example, try making an airplane. Prepare the upper wing (5.0 * 25.0 * 1.5cm), the lower wing (5.0 * 16.0 * 1.0cm), rudder and fuselage (5.0 * 31.0 * 1.5 cm). To this end, mark the planks and cut them along the lines. If necessary, shave off excess and sandpaper. Collect the resulting parts to make an airplane. Observe symmetry when doing this. The details should be fastened with studs. Drive them in carefully, they should not bend or come out from the side or from the back of the part.
Step 5
In the next step, try making more complex wooden toys. A sailboat is a good example. For its manufacture, two main parts will be required - a body pointed at both ends (11, 0 * 26, 0 * 1, 5 cm) and a rail for the mast. In addition, prepare a piece of fabric for the sail and flag. Cut along the markings and process the hull of the sailboat, grind the rail well. Now make a hole in the body with an awl and insert the mast into it. Cut out the sail and flag from the fabric - secure with glue.
Step 6
More complex toys can be equipped with wheels. It is very easy to make them. To do this, take a cylindrical bar and saw off parts about 1.5 cm thick from it. These will be the wheels. They are attached to the body of various carnation toys.
