If you want to knit a cap for the summer, then choose an openwork pattern, thin threads. And if for the winter season, take thick woolen threads and knit with a denser knit. You can decorate the cap as you wish, sew on sequins, beads.

It is necessary

  • - yarn;
  • - knitting needles;
  • - cardboard.

Instructions

Step 1

Knitting pattern: cast on an odd number of stitches.

1 row - 1 front, 1 purl loop.

2nd row - remove 1 loop (the working thread is in front of the knitting needle), 1 front loop, etc.

Starting from the third row, the pattern is repeated.

Step 2

Cast on 80 stitches and knit 6 cm over the pattern for the lapel. Then, on each side of the lapel, cast on 6 more air loops and then knit 14 cm unchanged.

Step 3

Now divide all the loops into three parts, then leave 31 loops at the beginning of the row and 31 loops at the end of it without knitting (side parts), and only knit the middle 30 loops, knitting at the end of each front and back row the last loop of the middle part together with extreme loop from the side. So knit until all the loops of the side parts are closed and only 30 loops of the middle part of the cap remain on the needles.

Step 4

Next, knit these 30 stitches straight, knitting together the last stitch of the edge stitch row from the side.

Step 5

When all the edge loops are closed, start knitting the visor. To do this, use a knitting needle to pull 6 loops (on each side) from those previously added to the lapel and knit the upper side of the visor, consisting of 42 loops, with stocking knitting.

Step 6

To round off the visor, knit it in shortened rows, at the end of each row, do not tie two loops until there are 16-18 loops in the middle.

Step 7

Then tie the lower side of the visor in elongated rows, knitting at the end of the front and back rows two loops more than the previous row. When the number of stitches tied reaches 42, close all the stitches one by one.

Step 8

Cut a visor out of the cardboard. Insert it into the inside of the linked visor and sew. Attach the cuffs.

Step 9

Cast on seven loops and use 1 * 1 elastic to tie a strap long enough to stretch from one end of the visor to the other. Sew on the strap.

Step 10

Wash the knitted cap in warm water, wring it out a little. Pull a damp cap over the bottom of the can and leave to dry. This is for shaping.
