Biography
Laysan was born on June 28, 1985 in a small Bashkir urban-type settlement Raevsky in the family of a historian and librarian. In the blood of the girl, Russian, Bashkir, Tatar and Polish genes are mixed. As a child, Laysan professed Islam, but later converted to Orthodoxy.
The family first moved to Ufa, and then to Volgograd. The girl wanted to practice ballet, but gymnastics coach Nadezhda Kasyanova accidentally saw her and invited her to try herself in a sports career.
Laysan had very flexible joints, and the world of rhythmic gymnastics accepted her very favorably. The girl was distinguished by her hard work and strong character, she successfully combined sports and studies at school.
Even when the future champion was little, her parents divorced, the reason for this was her father's infidelity and his addiction to alcohol.
In 1997, Utyasheva moved to Moscow, where she trained under the guidance of Oksana Skaldina and Alla Yanina. Two years later, she received the title of Master of Sports, and in 2001 she became the absolute champion at the World Cup in Berlin.
Since 2002, Laysan began working with the famous Irina Vinner. Among her victories are the international tournament in Slovenia, the championship in France, the youth games in Moscow, the European championship and others.
However, due to serious injuries to both legs, Utyasheva was forced to leave the big sport. But Laysan will forever go down in his history, four of the most difficult elements in rhythmic gymnastics are named after her.
After finishing her career as a gymnast, Laysan became a presenter on television. Among her works are such projects as "Personal Trainer", "Fitness with the Stars", "Beauty Academy with Laysan Utyasheva", "Dancing on TNT" and others.
In addition, Utyasheva wrote an autobiographical book "Unbreakable", in which she told how much time and effort she devoted to gymnastics.
The gymnast also tried her hand at acting, played a small role in the series "Champions", and also starred in the Christmas tree's video for the song "I'll wait for you."
