If you want to have a comfortable, versatile piece in your child's wardrobe, try knitting a child's suit. Novice needlewomen can choose simple models of a vest and gaiters. These are clothes for every day that will suit a child of any gender. Knit the suit with the front satin stitch and make the appropriate embroidery on the knitted fabric. For the boy - a fashionable cage with a stalk seam, and for a girl - satin stitch flowers.
It is necessary
- - Fine yarn 320-350 g
- - Straight needles # 2, 2, 5 and circular needles # 2
- - Pin
- - Thread and embroidery needle
Instructions
Step 1
Start knitting a baby suit from the back. To do this, type 122 loops on thin straight knitting needles and tie an elastic band 5 cm wide. Then you need to take the thicker knitting needles and knit an even neat fabric about 18 cm in height with the front stitch. Now you need to complete the left and right armholes.
Step 2
Gradually make rounds to the sides of the job. On the left, this should be done at the beginning of each purl row, and on the right, at the beginning of the front row. Knit two stitches together, decreasing two times by 4; two times 3 and two times 2 loops. You should have two armholes 19 stitches high.
Step 3
Continue knitting until the shoulders of the vest begin to tilt and at the same time the beginning of its growth (back of the neck). This will happen at a distance of 37 cm from the start of work.
Step 4
Now you need to divide the work loops into two even parts. On the left, open loops need to be strung on a pin; on the right, start knitting with working needles.
Step 5
You need to tilt your shoulder. To do this, subtract 4 loops four times in each front row. At the same time, deepen the sprout: on the wrong side of knitting, first close 7 loops, then 6, 5 and 3 loops. Close all loops; shoulder width - 7 cm.
Step 6
Remove the left loops from the pin to a working needle and knit this part of the back of the baby vest in a mirror image. Now you need to round off the shoulder on the wrong side of the work, and close the sprout loops on the front side of the knitted fabric. After finishing the back, close all the remaining loops.
Step 7
Start knitting in front of the baby vest in the same way as for the back. When you get to the beginning of the cape-shaped neck, then again divide the work in half and knit first the right and then the left group of loops. You need to form a toe - to do this, decrease the loop in every fourth row. Don't forget to make the armholes like on the back. After finishing the second piece of the children's knitted suit, close the loops.
Step 8
Start knitting leggings, moving from the top (from the waist) down (to the cuff of the leg). For the first part of the product, you need to cast on 102 loops on the needles # 2 and tie 2 cm of hollow elastic. Next, make a stocking knitted fabric 20 cm high, using knitting needles No. 2, 5. At the beginning of each seventh row on the left and right, close the loop so that the pant leg gradually tapers in a wedge-like manner downward. Do this until you have 54 stitches left.
Step 9
Finish knitting the leg of the children's leggings with five centimeters of elastic on fine knitting needles. The bottom edge should be 16 cm wide. The second part of the product is knitted identically to the first.
Step 10
Make a simple gusset by knitting a strip of 20 stitches and 30 rows.
Step 11
Iron the finished knitted baby suit through a piece of damp gauze.
Step 12
Collect the children's vest and pants in the following sequence:
- carry out the shoulder seams of the back and front;
- decorate the front of the vest with embroidery to your taste;
- type 146 loops on circular knitting needles # 2 around the perimeter of the triangular cutout and tie an elastic band 4 cm. At the same time, at the center of the neck, one end of the tape will overlap the other. You can also make a butt joint - for this, knit together three middle loops with a "pigtail";
- For the armhole, cast on 116 loops on each side and make an elastic the same width as on the neckline. Close the loop of the inlay;
- sew the sides of the vest;
- sew the side seams on the leggings, sew on the gusset and sew the details to the end. You just have to insert the elastic tape - and the knitted children's suit is ready.
