The ability to knit will allow a young mother to get a unique product that will suit her baby. For example, a hat with comfortable and warm ears with ties, made of soft yarn from natural wool and acrylic. If you need a winter hat for a baby, then it is recommended to fold the yarn in two threads - the thing will turn out to be thicker. Choose the front satin stitch as the main pattern of the front - you can make a pretty embroidery with a contrasting thread on it.

Instructions
Step 1
Measure the girth of the ready baby with the help of a tailor's meter, passing it along the most convex region of the back of the head and along the midline of the forehead. In the example given, knitting of a children's hat for a head circumference of 54 cm is described.
Step 2
Start by tying the ears. For the first part, cast on 6 loops and knit 3 rows with purl loops only. You will get a garter stitch - a dense, fixed fabric. Next, you will gradually increase the knit size to shape the eyelet.
Step 3
In the fourth row, make 3 purl loops, then knit the front one crossed from the subsequent transverse thread (broach) between the loops; Purl 3. Cross the loop like this: insert the knitting needle from right to left under the broach, grab the working thread (it is behind the knitting) and pull the resulting loop onto the “face” of the canvas.
Step 4
Knit the fifth row in garter stitch, starting with the first 3 loops of the sixth row. This will be followed by a new facial crossed from a transverse thread; front loop and crossed again. Purl 3 will complete the row.
Step 5
Perform the seventh row in garter stitch. Continue adding front crossed stitches in every second (front) row until you knit the part you want.
Step 6
Set aside work, and tie a pair of ear from a separate ball. Now you can start making the back of the baby hat.
Step 7
Cast on 15 loops (for the given example) and put the delayed eyelet into operation. Now divide the pattern of the knitted fabric into sections: continue to make the eyelet with garter stitch, and the back of the headdress with the so-called bulky elastic band.
Step 8
To obtain an elastic band, perform the following alternation of loops: in the first row - front, purl; in the second - the front, and the purl is removed untied. The working thread is located before knitting. Further (from the third row), the pattern is repeated similarly to the first and second rows.
Step 9
When you knit the back piece of the baby's hat to a height of 2.5 cm, cast on the loops for the front piece. In the given example, 21 is enough. Knitting is closed in a circle, after which a bulky elastic is made with circular knitting needles.
Step 10
In front of the cap, make it 4, 5 cm high and go to the front surface. Tie the fabric with a height of about 7.5 cm. Now the loops of the headdress should be gradually reduced to form a toe.
Step 11
Divide the knitting into 6 equal sections and start knitting together a couple of loops at the end of each one. So the decrease will be even.
Step 12
Tie the hat to the top until the last 10-6 stitches remain. Pull them together with a thread and drag the trimmed “ponytail” to the wrong side of the product. It remains only to crochet at the ends of each ear strings in the form of a chain of air loops and one row of simple single crochet posts.
