A kangaroo backpack is a very practical thing for parents. It allows you to move freely with your baby in places where it is very difficult to use the stroller. And hands always remain free.

Instructions
Step 1
Make a kangaroo pattern. The front of this backpack resembles a panty. Cut out a square with sides of 45 cm. Draw lines for the holes for the legs at the bottom of the part on both sides. Height - 18 cm, width at the bottom 10 cm.
Step 2
The pattern of the back of the kangaroo is a trapezoid. The bottom side of which is 30 cm, the upper side is 8 cm, and the height is 60 cm. At the bottom of the part, draw 4 darts 4 cm wide each, 5-6 cm high. Place them at an equal distance from each other.
Step 3
Cut out similar parts from foam rubber and cotton fabric. Make a piece for the back from thick cardboard.
Step 4
Sew darts on the back of the backpack. To keep the seams strong, sew 2 lines at a time. Fold the front and back right sides together, aligning the bottom cuts and stitch them. Sew foam and cotton pieces in the same way.
Step 5
Fold the parts in the following sequence: cotton lining with the wrong side up, then foam rubber, cardboard element to fix the backrest and the main part of thick fabric. Align all the cuts, cut off the excess and process the edges with a rep tape folded in half.
Step 6
Bend the upper cut of the panties to the wrong side by 4-5 cm and sew a drawstring. Make 2 lines. One is close to the cut, the second is at a distance of 2.5 cm from the top edge. Insert 2 pieces of elastic tape into the resulting drawstrings.
Step 7
Sew a 0.5 m long belt to the bottom of the kangaroo's back. Attach 2 rings on each side. Sew 2 straps 0.5 m long to the top of the backpack and attach 2 rings to the bottom of each of them. Work the buttonholes 5 cm from the edge.
Step 8
Cut 2 pieces of belt tape, each 1, 4 m long. Pull them through the rings on the shoulder straps and secure. Sew 2 flat buttons to the top of the front. The kangaroo backpack is ready.
