A cute kangaroo is rightfully considered one of the main symbols of Australia. These animals are often seen in Australian fairy tales and cartoons. It may well be that one day your child will ask you to draw this animal. This can be done with a simple or colored pencil.

It is necessary

  • - paper;
  • - 2 pencils of different hardness;
  • - a picture with a picture of a kangaroo or a toy.

Instructions

Step 1

It is better to lay the sheet horizontally. The kangaroo is always tilted slightly forward. In addition, it has long lower limbs and a tail.

Step 2

Draw a horizon line just below the middle of the sheet. It will greatly help you navigate the sheet. Draw an oblique line to the horizon at an angle of about 30-35 °. The body of a kangaroo, when it stands calmly, is tilted to the ground at about this angle. Mark the length of the animal's body on the slanted line.

Step 3

Draw a vertical line to the top mark. Mark the height of the animal's head on it. It is equal to about a quarter of the body length. Kangaroos have long ears, so it's best to immediately mark their top points. From the bottom mark of the slanted line, draw a vertical line down. This is the guide for the top of the tail. The very upper part is equal to about a third of the length of the body. Mark this line. From its point of course, draw a horizontal line at a distance about one and a half times greater than the upper part. This is the guide for the bottom of the tail.

Step 4

Mark the directions of the upper and lower limbs. The leg farther from the viewer goes almost from the middle of the very first oblique line vertically down. It ends at about the same level as the top of the tail. Divide the segment between the beginning of the upper limb and the beginning of the tail in half and draw the guide of the other leg from this point. It is located parallel to the first. For the upper limbs, one guide starts just below the chin and the other just above the point from which the foot guide starts. The "skeleton" of your kangaroo is ready.

Step 5

Draw the head. It is almost round, only slightly narrowing in the lower part. Mark the ears - in the form of elongated ovals or an oval and a long triangle. Outline the torso, which is a long oval that flares slightly downward. Draw uneven lines parallel to the guides of the limbs.

Step 6

Draw the limbs. To do this, draw along the guides, on the other side of the already existing contours of the limbs, not yet very straight lines. Note that the legs end in rather long feet. Draw them. Also sketch out the lines of the tail - along the guides.

Step 7

Trace the outlines with a softer pencil. Convey texture with strokes or feathers. Draw a muzzle, it somewhat resembles a hare. Draw shadows for the torso with the head and tail.
