Cross stitch is a rather laborious work. And in order to create a big enough picture, it takes up to several months of work. There are ways to greatly facilitate this somewhat monotonous work, having mastered which, you can cross stitch faster.

It is necessary

  • - machine;
  • - double needle;
  • - a photocopy of the scheme;
  • - colored pens and pencils;
  • - highlighter marker;
  • - cardboard;
  • - scissors.

Instructions

Step 1

Purchase or make your own embroidery machine to be able to embroider with both hands. You can also attach the hoop to the table in some way. If you succeed, practice embroidering with both hands: the right hand will inject the needle at the top from top to bottom, and the left one - at the bottom, returning the needle back.

Step 2

Buy a set of special reversible needles with an eye in the middle. Such a needle is sharp on both sides, which allows you not to turn it during embroidery: insert the needle into the fabric with your right hand, pull it out with your left hand and, without turning it over, immediately stick it back in. An uncomplicated way that saves a lot of time and effort when working.

Step 3

If you have a thread organizer, use it as much as possible. Thread a needle into the thread of each color you use and place in your organizer compartment. Saving time for threading a needle can be significant when there is a wide variety of colors in a particular area.

Step 4

Copy or print the embroidery scheme on a printer so that you can easily "spoil" it. As you embroider, cross out the cells with a pen or highlighter, and cut or fold unnecessary sections.

Step 5

On a photocopy of the diagram, divide the whole picture into sections of 10 cells - vertically and horizontally. Divide into squares and a canvas, sweeping it with bright bobbin thread.

Step 6

Take multi-colored pens or pencils and mark the primary colors with small dots right on the canvas. For example, paint the leaves with an X in light green. The easiest way to do this is to cut out two blanks: in a sheet of cardboard, a square hole the size of 10 cells of the diagram and 10 cells of the canvas. By applying these blanks to the diagram and canvas, you can easily transfer all the symbols.

Step 7

Keep in mind that the markings will show through slightly from under the embroidery, so paint carefully and in a suitable color. It is not necessary to paint over everything in a row - a few basic colors of the picture are enough (the space between them can be completely filled with a different color). The marking itself takes quite a long time, perhaps even several days, but it allows you to significantly speed up cross stitching.
