Cushion with petals
You can update the interior without big expenses by placing unusual cushions in it. Decorate the bedroom and living room with cushions with bright petals. Such a pillowcase is easy to sew, for its manufacture you will need the main fabric for the front and back sides, as well as pieces of contrasting fabric in two colors.
For a 50 x 50 cm pillow, cut 16 squares with a side of 26 cm: 4 each from the contrasting fabric and 8 from the main one. Prepare the pattern from the base: draw a diagonal, parallel to it, stepping back 1 cm, draw a line for connecting the petals. From the center, set aside a perpendicular 5 cm. Through the point, draw a curve that resembles a half of a petal.
Now put together the "flaky pie": the first layer is the main fabric; the second and third are contrasting material; the fourth is a square pattern. You should get 4 details. Sew all layers along the line of connection of the petals, cut them along the contour of the petal. Expand the pattern, remove excess contrasting material, you get a square with petals in the middle. They need to be bent and ironed. To prevent the fabric from fraying, overlap the edges of the petals.
Sewing the elements together, get the front part. Connect it to the back of the pillowcase by sewing on three sides. Fill it with holofiber, sew on the fourth side.
Fantasy pillows
Having shown fiction, you can sew a pillow that simulates a flame of fire. You will need pieces of red, white and yellow satin or crepe satin. Draw tongues of flame on the fabric: a large fire on a white one, a smaller one on a red one, and a very small one on a yellow one.
Make patterns for each color in duplicate. Stitch using applique technique (small zigzag) on the white "flame" - red, on the red element - a yellow pattern. To prevent the parts from moving, pin them together. Connect the two parts by folding them right sides inward and leaving room to turn inside out. Turn out, fill with filler: padding polyester scraps, feather, holofiber, sew.
In a children's room, an animal pillow, such as a cat, will be appropriate. Cut out two circles with a diameter of 15 cm from the fabric, sew, fill with padding polyester. Sew on the ears, button-nose, embroider the mouth, mustache - this will be the head. Make the legs and tail. The body can be a rectangular pouch with a zip fastener on the belly. Don't forget to sew the details into the pillowcase. It is convenient to do this with a special needle for sewing soft toys. Insert a pillow into your cat pillowcase.
