Step 2
Very carefully, so as not to damage the knitted fabric, open the sleeves and open the side seams of the sweater, cutting the threads with sharp manicure scissors.

Unfasten the collar, carefully separate each loop in order to use the thread from which it is knitted in future work.
Step 4
It should be noted that the size of the cover is determined by the width of the front of the sweater. A button placket can also come in handy. It can be used as a cover fastener.

Fold the back and in front of the front sides inward, glue and cut a square from both parts, including the bottom elastic in it.

In order to get a thread of a suitable color for sewing together the details of the cover, dissolve one of the deferred details, for example, the collar.

Sew the three edges of the cut squares on the wrong side with a back seam, leaving the bottom edge open, tied with an elastic band. Overcast the edges so they don't fall off.
