Of all types of home art, assembling paper models is perhaps the most affordable. With imagination, a set of simple tools and perseverance, you can make magnificent copies of real things, for example, planes, cars, as well as three-dimensional figures of people or animals. Your first paper model, albeit far from ideal, but assembled with your own hands, can start a whole collection.

It is necessary

  • - cardboard or sheet of whatman paper;
  • - colored paper;
  • - pattern of the model;
  • - pencil;
  • - ruler;
  • - eraser;
  • - scissors;
  • - paper glue;
  • - a brush for glue.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a pattern, according to which you will subsequently prepare the details of the future paper model. Use patterns of ready-made models that you can find on the Internet, or use your creativity and create a sketch of the model yourself. If you use reduced images or drawings, convert them to real dimensions corresponding to the future model by transferring the drawing to tracing paper or tissue paper at a scale of 1: 1.

Step 2

Choose a specific modeling method. The creation of the model can be carried out in three-dimensional or two-dimensional technique. For 3D modeling, use special computer programs. In this way, you can create a three-dimensional image of furniture or a room. After obtaining a three-dimensional image of the object, make a paper copy of it, guided by the linear parameters specified by the program.

Step 3

Use 2D modeling if you're looking for simplicity and want to save time. To do this, prepare an image of the object from both sides, then cut it out and connect the parts with glue. Even a child can create such copies of objects.

Step 4

Transfer the image of the model details onto thin cardboard, Whatman paper or paper. Draw along the lines of the intended bend with the blunt end of the scissors or with a knitting needle that has a rounding at the end. Do not use sharp objects to avoid tearing the paper.

Step 5

Write in pencil on each part its name or put down a serial number, taking into account the sequence of assembly of the model. If valves are provided for connecting parts to each other, it is most convenient to put a name or number on them so that after assembly the inscriptions are not visible.

Step 6

Using scissors, cut out all the parts of the model in sequence. Place them in a stack in the order in which they will be connected to each other.

Step 7

Glue the valves or other parts of the paper construction to be connected with glue. Place the parts to be glued together and press down with your fingers. Wait for the glue to dry a little, and then glue the next element. After completing the complete assembly, leave the finished model to dry completely.
