Paper models attract novice modelers for their cheapness and ease of manufacture. There are a wide variety of kits for making paper models. Alternatively, they can be downloaded from the Internet.

It is necessary

  • - a set of patterns;
  • - scissors;
  • - Titan glue;
  • - pencil.

Instructions

Step 1

Buy from the store or download from the Internet a set of patterns for building a paper model. In most cases, downloading from the Internet is more expensive because you are asked to send a paid SMS for downloading patterns. If you still downloaded the model from the Internet, print the blanks on paper using a color printer. When choosing your first model, keep in mind that airplane models are the easiest to build.

Step 2

Prepare a table with good lighting, take care that there is no strong draft that can carry the paper blank. Cut out all the details with scissors, write their numbers on the back with a pencil. Place sets of parts for different parts of the model in different bags to make it easier to find the part you need during the assembly process.

Step 3

From the resulting blanks, find the details of the frame and start assembling it. To make the model sturdier, transfer the frame markings onto thin cardboard. In this case, the strength of the model will increase tenfold. For gluing, use Titan glue, as it does not warp the paper, it remains transparent. Glue "Titan" should be spread with a very thin layer and immediately fold the parts to be glued. Due to the intensive evaporation of the solvent, the glue will set very quickly, which will speed up the assembly process of the model. You can use PVA glue, but it dries longer and the quality of long seams will be noticeably worse. The large amount of water in the glue will warp the paper.

Step 4

Stick the frames on the frame, then the sheathing. It is best to mount structures from the middle to the edges, since the middle of the model is usually the widest.

Step 5

Glue the different parts of the model separately - the fuselage, wings and tail.

Step 6

Using glue, carefully connect the wings to the fuselage, and then glue the tail.

Step 7

Make small parts like chassis, guns, antennas, bombs, cockpit interior, then glue them into place.
