Many fishermen neglect maggot out of disgust, but in vain, this nozzle will increase the chances of a good catch in the best way possible. These blue fly larvae can be bought at fishing stores or grown at home. It is advisable to take only the largest ones for fishing, because it is quite difficult to plant maggots, and especially small ones.

- - maggots;
- - sawdust, bran or bread crumbs;
- - beets.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil a soft-boiled chicken egg and poke a hole in the side. Place the egg on your balcony or yard if you live in a private home. Cover with something bird-resistant, but so that flies can enter and lay their eggs. After a while, the larvae will appear, which will feed on the egg and grow. When they reach their maximum size (be careful not to pupate), collect the maggots with tweezers and wash. Then place in sawdust, breadcrumbs or bran and store at about freezing.
Step 2
You can grow maggots on any substrate - raw fish, meat and other protein products. In order not to feel the unpleasant smell of rotting in the apartment, it is better to do this in the country. Decomposition forms cadaveric venom, so wear rubber gloves or try to keep the rotting matter out of your skin. And the larvae themselves, until thoroughly rinsing with water, take only with tweezers.
Step 3
You can dye the maggots in a different color, for example, in red. Some fish bite better on this color. Simply place the larvae in grated beets overnight. For a yellow color, it is enough to keep the maggots in bread crumbs, in addition to acquiring a new color, the larvae become much harder, acquire elasticity and are easier to put on a hook.
Step 4
Since the maggot has a very delicate structure, they put it on the hook so that the sting is open. Otherwise, the fish may simply pull off the bait. Take the larva with two fingers, hold it firmly, as the maggots are very fidgety. Hook the tip of the hook to the edge of the back. This is where there is no dark spot.
Step 5
If the larvae are small, then plant several at once, piercing their body also in the back. At the same time, try not to squeeze the maggot too much, trying to hold it - the shell may break and the internal liquid will leak out. This is undesirable, although it will still be possible to catch a few fish, even on the crushed larva, until it is kept on the hook.
Step 6
You can also pierce the skin in the back of the maggot with a key and remove the sting from the side of the larva - in the middle or closer to the end of its body. This method is preferable for large specimens with firm skin.
