It is believed that a money tree growing in an apartment brings good luck to the house, and its owners will never know the need for funds. Botanists do not know a plant with this name, but its role is successfully played by the common fat woman - a dwarf tree covered with rounded fleshy leaves.

It is easy to grow a fat woman, it is unpretentious, does not need any specialized care. And if you manage to provide her with comfortable conditions, she may even bloom. In Feng Shui, it is believed that a money tree that suddenly threw away flower buds predicts great luck or unexpected income.

The fat woman propagates by cuttings and leaves. Just pinch off one of them from an adult plant, dry it slightly in the air and you can plant it in a separate pot. Until the shoot takes root, the pot can be covered with plastic wrap, but in this case the plant will need to be ventilated at least once a day.

It is best to put a pot with a money tree in the wealth zone of an apartment, which is usually located in the southeastern part of it. It will be very good if you can organize partial shade for the plant, in direct sunlight and in the dark, the fat woman may start to hurt and shed the leaves.

The money tree should be watered very sparingly as the top soil layer dries up. The leaves of the fat woman are very fond of spraying from a spray bottle, give them a small shower about once a month. In winter, watering the tree should be minimized or stopped altogether.
