Floriculture and the cultivation of indoor plants is an exciting hobby that attracts more and more people, both women and men. Often, seeds are left from the eaten fruit, which are almost always thrown away. Moreover, if you know the rules for planting seeds and growing plants, you can grow a house tree from many seeds, since some of them take root quite well at home. Most often, a lemon tree is grown at home from a seed, and in this article we will show you how to do this.
Instructions
Step 1
After the lemon is eaten, keep the large seeds free from chips or cracks. Fill the shallow cups with soil and place the nutrient-treated seeds two centimeters into the ground. Plant ten or more seeds at once - only a few of them will sprout.
Step 2
Moisten the soil until after five months the seedlings are up and strong. From this moment, take larger pots and, without disturbing the root system, transplant the seedlings into the pots along with the earthen lump in which they are located. Add vermicompost to the soil of the pots.
Step 3
Pinch the crown of your lemon tree regularly to help it sprout extra shoots. The growing shoots also need to be pinched - after that the tree will grow lush and beautiful. Place the pot in a well-lit area and turn it in different parts from time to time towards the sun.
Step 4
At the very ground, wrap the base of the tree trunk with copper wire, which must be removed after six months - this stimulates the formation of fruit buds.
Step 5
If you want your tree to bear fruit and produce fresh lemons at home, take care of grafting a cutting of a fruiting tree. Correct grafting will allow you to get a good harvest in a few years.
