If you have lost the key to the lock, and you need to open it urgently, try drilling out the larva. If you have an ordinary domestic or Chinese lock installed, you only need a drill and a screwdriver for this.

Instructions
Step 1
If you have a mortise lock with a cruciform cylinder mechanism, take a drill with a 3-5 mm drill and make a hole just above the keyhole, then insert a screwdriver into the drilled hole, lift the stopper and hook the bolt.
Step 2
To drill a cylinder at a pin cylinder lock, aim the drill bit at the center of the cylinder (core rotation line), then drill all the way. If there is no armor plate in the lock, then the process will pass without problems. To open the mechanism, push the wire inside the keyhole and turn. If the lock does not open, drill another hole at the top of the keyhole, in which case the lock can be opened with a simple flathead screwdriver.
Step 3
If the lock is protected by an armor plate, a conventional drill is likely to break. You can only drill out the larva of such a lock using a special carbide drill, which will cost you dearly. Evaluate your capabilities, it may be cheaper to call a master.
Step 4
To drill through a padlock, locate the strut mount to the bolt tip (usually just above the center of the keyhole). Try to get into this place, then drill out the rack and hook open the lock through the keyhole. You can also use a similar key or key blank. Please note that this method is only suitable for a cheap cylinder lock without additional protection.
Step 5
To get a better idea of where to drill, look at the key. Those teeth and grooves of different diameters that you see on it are intended for metal "secrets" inside the lock, which, in turn, are trampled by the springs. Most often, these springs are located along the axis of the larva at the very bottom, try to get the drill into this place and then the "secrets" can be turned even with a hairpin or wire.
Step 6
To drill the ignition cylinder, use titanium or cobalt coated drills, simple drills will dull and even break. Start with a small diameter drill bit and gradually enlarge the hole until the maggot can be easily reached.
