Step 1
Shooting fireworks is a rather difficult task, and in order to get colorful and "juicy" pictures, you need to thoroughly prepare. Especially if the location is unfamiliar to you. In this case, you need to come in advance and choose the most suitable locations for shooting. During the fireworks, you will no longer be able to choose an angle, and it is also useful to stand so that the wind blows in your back and carries away the smoke from the shots.

In order not to spoil the night shot with shutter speed, the camera must remain stationary. This requires a steady tripod and a self-timer. If you don't have either one or the other, find at least some suitable firm support.

There are optimal technical parameters for shooting, however, you should not blindly follow them. It is necessary to take into account the shooting conditions, but you can focus on the following parameters: The optimal shutter speed for shooting fireworks is a little over a second. If your camera has a bulb function, it is best to use it. Bulb is a controlled exposure time. Press the button when the projectile takes off, and release (or press again: bulb works differently in different cameras) when sparks start to fall.
Set the sensitivity (ISO) to 100.
The aperture value should be between f: 8 - f: 16.
The flash is useless when shooting fireworks.
