Instructions
Step 1
One of the simplest products for beginner hand-maders will be a handmade vase. It will definitely come in handy for you - when on holidays the apartment is filled with bouquets of flowers that have nowhere to arrange. The vase will be a great gift for your loved ones. And making a bottle decor is not at all difficult!
Step 2
One of the simplest techniques with which you can achieve amazing results is decoupage. Choose a napkin with a beautiful pattern and cut out the elements that you would like to see on your vase.
Step 3
Before you start gluing the napkin to the bottle, you can coat the vase with glass paint that works well with the pattern. If you are afraid to make a mistake, choose the same color as the napkin. Apply paint in an even layer and let the bottle dry. If necessary, after drying, another coat of paint can be applied.
Step 4
After your bottle is completely dry, proceed with further decorating. The napkin consists of several layers of paper. For work, you only need one top layer, on which the drawing is located. Gently rub the tip of the napkin to separate the layer you will be working with.
Step 5
Attach the drawing to the bottle, dip the sponge in the glue (it is very convenient to use a rectangle cut from the dishwashing sponge) and glue the drawing with light movements, ironing it from the top with a sponge with glue from the center to the edges.
Step 6
After the glue has dried, you can decorate the bottle with ribbons, beads, shells, feathers, or rhinestones. The napkin ornament that you glued can be outlined using contour paint - this will hide the unevenness at the edges. Let the product dry again and cover the bottle with varnish so that water does not damage your decor. Your decorated vase is ready!
