Decorate an unremarkable sweater.
It is necessary
- - chintz fabric with a suitable pattern;
- - threads in the color of the sweater;
- - lace;
- - scissors,
- - sewing machine;
- - album sheet;
- - ruler.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, draw a triangle with sides of 10/20/20 centimeters on the album sheet. Cut the resulting shape.
Place the pattern on the chintz fabric, circle and cut. Thus, make two more wedges.
Step 2
Measure the height of the wedges and make cuts on the sweater one centimeter shorter than the height of the figures. The first cut should be exactly in the middle of the sweater (the front of it), and the others should be on the sides of it at the same distance.
Step 3
Fold the bottom edge of the wedges one centimeter and sew first with a hand basting stitch, then with a sewing machine.
Step 4
Sew wedges into the slits of the sweater with a zigzag stitch. To make the fabric lay smoother, you must first sweep the parts, then sew them on a typewriter.
Step 5
The next step is to fit the sweater. To do this, carefully using a special chalk, draw lines along the side seams, slightly tapering at the waist. Carefully trim off any excess.
Step 6
Stitch the side cuts using a zigzag stitch.
Step 7
Start decorating the neckline. Cut the elastic off the neck. To make the cut straight, first outline the lines along which the cut will pass.
Step 8
Cut a strip (bias tape) from chintz fabric, the length of which is equal to the neck cut (if there is not enough length, then the strip can be made from several small pieces of bias tape, stitching them together).
Step 9
Zigzag the tape over the neckline. Make sure the seam is straight.
Step 10
Cut strips of lace of various lengths and glue them along the bottom of the sweater, parallel to the wedges.
Step 11
Next, you need to slightly shorten the sleeves. To do this, cut off the elastic of the sleeves first, then cut about five to seven lengths of the sleeves.
Step 12
Zigzag the elastic to the ends of the trims.
Step 13
Make a floral arrangement out of chintz fabric and lace and decorate the neck of the sweater with it.
Step 14
The unremarkable sweater is decorated with nothing.
