It is necessary

  • - yarn
  • - knitting needles
  • - needle

Instructions

Step 1

The number of loops that must be closed to knit the neckline is usually indicated in the knitting pattern. However, in order for the edge to be even, and not stepped, you need to close the loops as follows: in the 1st row, the loops are pulled one through the other. In the 2nd and subsequent rows, the 1st loop should not be knitted, but removed as in purl knitting. Then knit the 2nd loop and pull the removed loop through it.

Step 2

Divide the edge of the neck into sections 10 cm long and on each dial the number of loops depending on the knitting density (that is, as much as needed to knit 10 cm with the selected pattern), plus 3-4 loops. To knit a tape with a 2x2 elastic band (2 front, 2 purl), the number of loops must be a multiple of 4.

Step 3

Tie a double-width inlay, close the loops freely. Cut the thread, leaving an end equal to three times the length of the edge of the neck. Fold the binding in half, turning it inward, and pin it. Sew the closed edge of the tape to the edge of the neckline.
