In any knitted product, be it a sweater, jumper, pullover or light summer vest, it is very important to be able to properly arrange the neckline. Depending on the technique in which you knit - crochet or knitting - the neck is processed differently. A beautifully and neatly knitted neckline will decorate your product, giving it a neat and graceful appearance. To crochet an even and symmetrical neckline, follow our tips.
Instructions
Step 1
Insert a crochet hook between the hem loops at the left shoulder seam. Knit the first loop, guiding it front and back, so that you have two loops on the hook at once. Make a yarn over the crochet and pull the yarn over two loops. Repeat this type of tie all over the neckline until you tie it completely. Pay special attention to the neatness of the inlay on the rounded places of the neck.
Step 2
You can also knit the neck tape with a chain stitch. To do this, sew a chain stitch along the edge of the neckline, and crochet the neckline from the left shoulder seam, inserting the hook into the loop of the chain stitch and pulling in the thread. Continue sewing the chain stitch in this manner along the entire neckline.
Step 3
Another way to crochet the neckline is to use a stitching stitch, which can be used not only for solid knitting, but also for overcasting. With the help of the "crustacean step" you can beautifully and neatly knit a neckline even on those products that are knitted from fine and soft yarn.
Step 4
Such a binding will keep its shape well and will not stretch. Insert the crochet from front to back and knit from left to right, not right to left, tying the neckline - move in that direction until you have tied the entire edge line. Having tied the neck with a "crustacean step", secure the thread. The edge processed in this way will look original and decorate your product.
