The neck of knitted products is not only functional, but also decorative. If you connect two models according to the same scheme and change only the cutout in one of them, then you get two completely different things. The choice of the neck is purely individual, since its shape is capable of hiding figure flaws and emphasizing advantages. Think carefully about the appearance of the future outfit, and only after that get to work. To get started, master the most common necks - horizontal, triangular and semicircular.

- - two working knitting needles and one auxiliary;
- - two balls of yarn;
- - a sketch of the future product.
Instructions
Step 1
Make a simple horizontal cut. Tie in front of the garment to the desired length and finish with several rows of elastic. It will serve as a neck tape; use the same yarn as hem and cuffs.
Step 2
Close the stitches of the last row from the wrong side of the work. When knitting the back of the model, use the finished front piece as a reference.
Step 3
Sew the back and front of the finished outfit on the shoulders. Choose the length of the connecting seam depending on the width of the shoulders of the future owner of the product.
Step 4
Knit a V-neck using two balls of identical yarn. First try on the loose in front and check the required V-neck depth. Then you need to accurately calculate the middle of the knitting and divide it into two parts.
Step 5
Set the left half of the front stitches on the auxiliary knitting needle and do the right and then the left stitches separately. Your task is to regularly close the loops to tie the neck of the desired shape. It will be shorter and more blunt if two loops are knitted together in every second row (following the edge one). If you want a deeper and more tapered V-neck, then decrease the loops on every fourth row.
Step 6
Deepen the back of the neck slightly on the back. To do this, accurately calculate the width of the cutout and close the middle loops. To smoothly round and raise the cutout, close three loops twice in every second row. After that, the knitting of the back can be finished.
Step 7
Type the required number of loops on the circular needles along the edge of the V-neck and tie the tape with an elastic band. Run the rows straight and backward so that the bar overlaps.
Step 8
Learn to knit a semicircle neck (U-shape). This is a versatile neckline that will suit many men (if made shallow) and ladies (deeper, more feminine). The classic, medium, semicircular cutout depth (for unisex models) is usually done at a distance of about 60 cm from the lower edge of the front.
Step 9
String the required number (depending on the chosen depth of the neck) of the middle loops on the auxiliary knitting needle. Knit the two sides of the work separately, as in the triangular cut. However, it is recommended to round the U-neck, knitting together in every second row:
- once four loops;
- two times three loops;
- one - two and three times one loop at a time.
When the neck is U-shaped and you reach the shoulder line, finish the job.
Step 10
Finally, tie the hemline back. To do this, slide the center stitches over the extra knitting needle and round the cutout like the back of the V-cut.
