short biography

She was born in the first month of winter, December 19, 1991. Birthplace is Kanagawa, Japan.

She studied at the private Kamakura Women's University. There she received primary, secondary and senior education. Then, on the recommendation, she entered the famous University of Sofia, in the city of Tokyo. This happened in 2010. Sumire chose the faculty for the study of foreign languages, namely the Department of Russian Studies. In her thesis, she provided research on the history of the Red Army in its early stages.

She was awarded the "Academic Excellence Award of the University of Sofia". The award was presented on July 10, 2012. She successfully graduated from her educational institution in 2014.

Career and creativity

Sumire entered the modeling business at a very young age, at the age of 9. The advertising agency Space Craft Junior Commercial Talent drew attention to her.

In 2009 - 2011 she worked on web radio, in the programs “Web Radzi @ Dengeki Bunko”. Due to her experience in this field, Sumire Uesaka decided to try herself as a voice actress (in Japan they are called seiyu).

But the dream of dubbing came to the heroine of the article while still at school. To do this, she attended various courses, trained her speech and diction herself, and when she was in high school, she attended acting classes.

In 2011, a competition takes place, and gets a role in the voice acting of the online game "Toy Wars". Then there was a small role in the anime "Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream". A full first role was received in the series "Papa no Iukoto o Kikinasai!" in 2012. She voiced the character Sora Takanashi.

In 2013, Sumire Uesaka decided to pursue a musical career.

In the course of this, a contract was signed with the StarChild label. The singer's first album was released in 2014 and peaked at number 9 on the Oricon Weekly chart in Japan. On January 6, 2016, the second album was released, which was named "Retribution of the XX century".

Attitude towards Russia and cultural and social activities

Sumire Uesaka became interested in Russia and the USSR while still in high school. Then she accidentally heard the Anthem of the Soviet Union on the Internet. Although Sumire did not understand anything, the anthem impressed her so much that she wanted to know as much as possible about our country. Unfortunately, there was too little information in the school curriculum about the Russian Federation, about the transition from the USSR.

As a result, Sumire entered the University of Sofia and, during his studies, received a trip to Moscow for 2 weeks. Visiting many museums, various events and just talking to people, she became even more imbued with our culture. She was also impressed by the interest of our citizens in Japan. This made me wonder why there is so little interaction between Russia and the land of the rising sun. Having already returned to her homeland, the singer began to periodically communicate with her fans in Russian in order to popularize the Russian Federation. Thus, she contributed to the development of our relationship.

In 2013, as a special guest and as a representative of the Lolita style (Japanese subculture based on the style of the Victorian era), a voice actor and cultural diplomat, she visited Russia, giving a mini-concert and participating in the jury at the festival of Japanese culture held in Moscow J-FEST.

In May 2015, she was spotted among the co-authors of the book "A Modest Proposal for World Peace", and in the summer she again visited Russia, at the AniCon convention held in St. Petersburg.
