Printed circuit boards have been used in radio electronics for quite a long time to connect individual electronic components or assemblies. But before these components or assemblies are attached to the PCB by soldering or winding, it is necessary to draw the PCB itself.

How to draw a PCB

It is necessary

Textolite, permanent marker, varnish marker, fine-grained sandpaper, solvent, printed circuit, adhesive tape, drill, hammer, ferric chloride

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the textolite for drawing. To do this, treat it with a fine-grained sandpaper and wipe with a solvent. These procedures will contribute to good patterning, as well as uniform etching of the PCB.

Step 2

Attach the printed circuit to the PCB with tape. To transfer the locations of the holes where the individual elements will be attached, attach the drill to the PCB (from the side of the circuit attachment) and knock with a hammer. On the reverse side of the PCB, small dents should remain in the holes.

Step 3

Connect the dents obtained on the PCB with lines. In doing so, be guided by the existing printed circuit diagram. Draw large tracks with a varnish marker, and small ones with a permanent one.

Step 4

Top with a varnish marker over the paths that were drawn with the permanent marker.

Step 5

Dissolve ferric chloride and dip the textolite into it.
